About Me

I am a licensed therapist in Kansas since 2012.  I love Lawrence, and cannot picture myself living anywhere else. I love animals, especially dogs.  I enjoy exercise and try to practice what I preach when it comes to healthy coping skills and developing healthy behaviors to improve our mental health.
I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology and masters in social work both from the University of Kansas.  Rock Chalk!  I am a registered play therapist.  I love to learn and strive to continually engage in gaining additional training and education to assist my clients.

The past 10 years I have operated as a generalist with a specialization serving children and families.  Through that work I have known my passion was working with social and generalized anxiety and low self-esteem.

I truly love being a therapist and being connected to those I work with.  I strive to make working with me feel like having a stress-free conversation about the tough stuff.

I know what it is like to struggle, and I have always felt driven to try and help other women not limit themselves or choices they make because of anxiety or self-esteem issues.  I want women to feel stronger and more capable of doing all of the things they are passionate about, but don’t believe they have the capabilities for.

Too often people do not get the help they need because they aren’t sure where to start, what it will look like, or they may minimize their struggles.  Too often I hear “other people have it way worse” or “it’s really not that bad. It will be fine.”  It doesn’t have to feel like this, and there are ways we can work together to reduce your anxiety and build your confidence.  I want to help you tap into that inner strength I know is there.
